DS – part of Groupe PSA (Peugeot, Citro\u00ebn, DS, Opel and Vauxhall) – showed its flagship sedan. Previously, it was believed that the “highest” model of the brand would be the “eight”, which was shown a few years ago, but it has not yet reached the conveyor. The DS 9 is a family sedan that tries to look stern and executive. However, this is class D, so there's nothing to be done about it.<\/p>\n

Recognition of DS, as they say, is obvious: there is a huge corrugated grille, and some light “show-offs” of the brand.<\/p>\n

What comes out of the headlights, journalists call “tears.” And this thing personally reminds me a lot of the latest Toyota Prius:<\/p>\n

The DS 9 is built on the stretched 55mm EMP2 platform that Group PSA has been using since 2013. The Peugeot 508L was built on a similar one.<\/p>\n

So far, DS 9 will have two versions. The base will receive a 1.6-liter PureTech engine with 225 hp. with. and 300 Nm of torque.<\/p>\n

The second version is the same 1.6-liter engine, but with a capacity of 200 hp. with. However, this version is advanced as it is an E-Tense hybrid with the Hybrid4 system. The fact is that in addition to the gasoline engine, there is an electric motor with an equivalent power of 110 hp. The total total power will be the same 225 hp. (yes, everything is right here, you just can't combine it) and 320 Nm of torque. But here it is also possible to drive about 40\u201350 km on electric traction.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, versions for 250 and 360 hp will appear. with. And there will also be an E-Tense plug-in hybrid.<\/p>\n

The car received an active suspension DS Active Scan Suspension. It identifies potholes, holes in the road.<\/p>\n

“Smart” assistant DS Smart Access scans the space using an infrared camera in the grille a hundred meters ahead and is able to detect pedestrians and cyclists. In addition, the assistant is able to keep the car in the flow at speeds up to 180 km \/ h, and he can also drive the car in a traffic<\/a> jam.<\/p>\n
