Jolion is one of the most interesting Chinese novelties on our market this year. Technically, the crossover<\/a> is far from sporting ambition, but its looks are favorable enough to experience a loaded “premium” image.<\/p>\n

The Chinese compact crossover was introduced<\/a> at home at the end of last year. There he received the name Chuliang, more recently he is known as Jolyon. In our market, its sales began in May of this year, and a month earlier, the Tula plant Haval began mass production of the model. And her debut turned out to be successful: she almost immediately became the most popular model of the brand, and by the end of November<\/a> of this year, the best-selling “Chinese” model in recent times. In addition, he entered the TOP-25 among all models in the current market, as well as the TOP-5 crossovers. Last but not least, this success can be attributed to the interesting modern appearance of the car, and quite original as well. Could some changes make Jolyon even more attractive?<\/p>\n

A new bumper with a larger air intake has appeared at the front, and contrasting decorative inserts on the sides now reach the bottom of the bumper. The radiator grille is made in black, chrome is also removed from all other parts of the body. In the front fenders there are air ducts with decorative elements, in the rear fenders there is a new bumper with a massive contrasting insert and four exhaust pipe<\/a>s under it. Larger wheels with new multi-spoke rims complete the look.<\/p>\n

The Jolion is the first model in recent times to be built on the LEMON modular platform, although several crossovers are already using it in China. Its main differences from previous platforms of the company are considered to be increased rigidity of the body structure and less weight. In terms of dimensions (4472x1841x1574 mm, wheelbase 2700 mm) Jolion is close to models such as the previous generation Nissan Qashqai and Kia Sportage<\/a>. The crossover is offered with the undisputed 1.5-liter GW4G15K “turbo-four” petrol engine, in the Chinese version<\/a> with 150 hp and 220 Nm of torque. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Russian version has slightly different characteristics: 143 hp and 210 Nm for the front-wheel drive version. The cheapest crossover with a 6-speed “mechanics” is offered for 1,379,000 conventional units. A modification with a 7-speed robotic transmission with two “wet” clutches will cost 100 thousa<\/a>nd more. There is also an all-wheel drive version, which is offered exclusively with a “robot” and produces 150 hp and 230 Nm of torque – from 1,699,000 rubles.<\/p>\n
