Grand Commander jeep 2018 – a large crossover for China
The new Jeep 2018-2019 model year is the Grand Commander Jeep, preparing to enter the Chinese market in the 2nd quarter of 2018. A novelty developed by the Chinese division of the Jeep brand, based on the Concept Yuntu prototype, Jeep presented at the Shanghai Auto Show in 2017. Thus, it is quite possible that the new, large, stylish 7-seat crossover, the Great Commander from the legendary Jeep brand, will reach in recent times.
Creating the new Grand Commander SUV, the developers started with the original image of the prototype of the Juntu Jeep concept. But the serial version of the model is not as extravagant as the concept, and, of course, lost the hinged side doors, touch the door handles and some other parts of the body and interior. However, the exterior design of the new body is clearly related to the concept model.
In the presence of tapered headlights, a compact false radiator grille, square wheel arch cutouts, a dynamic body profile with a high line sill and a perfectly smooth roof, an elegant rear with high-fit LED taillights, a large trunk and a powerful bumper.

The new SUV will be available as a 5-seat and 7-seat saloon in four fixed configurations, Longitude, Society, Overland and Summit. The choice of the buyer 16, 17, 18 and 19-inch aluminum wheels (the most saturated version of you tires size 235/60 R18 and 235/55 R19 convenience), headlights with conventional halogen lamps or full LED content, 4 exterior decorative trim and then the same number of variations of tinted windows, sunroof or panoramic roof.
According to preliminary information, for the new great commander, the manufacturer offers adaptive cruise control, two- and three-zone climate control, a pair of Uconnect multimedia systems with color screens with a diagonal of 5 and 8.4 inches, a color display instrument panel, an on-board computer, seats driver and front passenger, electrically adjustable, heated and ventilated, heated second row of seats, keyless entry to the cabin and engine start / stop button, power trunk lid, and modern security systems and electronic assistants.

A new large SUV, the Grand Commander is based on the platform of the Jeep Cherokee. So, the complete architecture is an independent front and rear suspension (Macferran struts in front and a multi-link rear), all-wheel disc brakes (electronic handbrake), electric power steering and standard four-wheel drive.
In the engine compartment, a large 7-seater crossover will be equipped with the latest 2.0-liter gasoline engine with turbo boost – Hurricane 2.0 in two power 234 and 265 power (this engine, by the way, is installed on the new generation Jeep Wrangler and the restyled Jeep Cherokee).
