The new Chinese off-road SUV Roewe RX8 has joined the ranks of the new Gupta group and has temporarily become the flagship of the Roewe brand. The place of the flagship in the very near future is the big saprophage Rovi RX9. While stating that customers will be able to order a car with a 5- and 7-seater interior, various interior color schemes and, of course, with a huge range of modern equipment. According to preliminary information, the Roewe RX8 will be offered a choice of analog or digital dashboard, several options for multimedia systems with two-zone or three-zone automatic climate control, a sunroof or a panoramic roof, a surround view system, at least 6 airbags, an electric parking brake, assistants with going down a hill and starting to slide, parking sensors, a keyless entry system and a host of other options.

Under the hood, a large Chinese crossover will appoint a powerful four-cylinder petrol engine 2.0 turbodiesel (224 hp 360 Nm) paired with 6 automatic transmissions from Aisin. Independent suspension of all wheels (double wishbone front, multi-link rear), all-wheel disc brakes, electric power steering, complete with several options installed to choose from for more confident movement on asphalt and in off-road conditions (sand, mud, stones).
