Back on November 28, I wrote about the UAZ-3952 for 1.6 million on the My Garage channel, today there will be a publication about the UAZ Pickup. Both of these cars will be similar, so I remembered model 3952. If you haven't seen it, find it on the channel, I think you won't regret it. Still, quite a unique specimen. Nikolai from Tyumen set himself and other colleagues a rather serious task. Take an ordinary UAZ Pickup and turn it into a variant with a 6×6 base in a very short time. It required a car that would be reliable, have good cross-country ability, in addition be load-bearing and work in conditions of fairly low temperatures. When the project began, the UAZ Pickup was brand new, the year of manufacture of the car was 2016. There were still problems with the acquisition. We needed a diesel engine, we had to drive a car from Moscow (2.2 liters, about 115 forces). The men set to work immediately. as soon as the UAZ was driven into the garage. They immediately removed everything superfluous, this applies to the body, the back part was simply removed, there were just 2 front seats and that's it. The next step was to work on the frame. Namely, to strengthen it and, in addition, to lengthen it. Also put bridges in their places, built a spring suspension, introduce transfer boxes and think over many other little things. The suspension was assembled on the basis of springs from the GAZelle, as it is corny stronger. By this time, the work had already advanced a lot, the bridges had taken their places and the suspension was almost completed. In parallel with this, they began to work on the creation of a kung from scratch. By the way, maybe someone will be interested, then the bridges are from the legendary GAZ-66. It took a few more days to do all the wiring, brakes, winch and power steering. Kung will be externally sheathed with conventional aluminum. Inside, everything will also be insulated and later sheathed. In addition, it was necessary to make a passage so that from the front one could go into the kung and not go outside for this. Native wheels no longer fit such a unit, so they are also from GAZ-66. The last couple of days, all sorts of little things have been completed, for example, steps, other mirrors, arches have been trimmed, and so on. As a result, the men built the UAZ Pickup 6 × 6 in just 15 days. The deadlines are as fast as possible, the work was carried out at night, of course. The customer was satisfied with the result and took the car to drive in the appropriate area. UAZ was well tested before being given to the owner. The car showed itself very well and confidently, it travels quickly in the snow, it overcomes any obstacle with a bang. On the track, you can comfortably move at a speed of about 80 km / h. Masters are fans of their craft and have extensive experience in this, many projects have already been created that were associated with various models of UAZ, GAZelle and some foreign cars.
