Bugatti Divo is the new Bugatti hypercar in Divo

A new exclusive hypercar Bugatti divo with a price tag of 5,000,000 euros ($390 million) has been officially unveiled as part of the quail motorsport motorsport gathering in Monterey. A novelty from the Bugatti brand is the expensive and exclusive Divo hypercar, named after the French race driver Albert Divo, who shone in the late 20s of the last century driving a Bugatti type 35C (Targa Florio race winner in 1928 and 1929).

The Divo coupe was developed by Bugatti based on the Chiron model, but differs from its brother's platform, the original body with optimized aerodynamic characteristics, providing a more rational distribution of the oncoming air flow and an increase in downforce by 456 kg acting on the coupe when driving at high speed.

At the same time, the engineers tweaked the suspension, increasing sag and giving the chassis more precise and sharp handling. Upgraded braking system, equipping sports cars with heat shields, guarding car tires when heated red-hot brake discs. The electronics tincture sled has three modes – EV Autobahn and Processing. The curb weight of the body on the Bugatti Divo is 1960 kg, 35 kg less than the original model, the Chiron.

The motor, by the way, migrated to the Bugatti marvel from the Bugatti Chiron unchanged – this is an 8.0-liter W16 (1500 hp, 1600 Nm) with 4 turbo compressors, paired with a 7-speed “robot”, which transmits thrust to all-wheel drive (all-wheel drive with electronically controlled rear differential).

According to the head of Stefan Winkelmann Bugatti brand's new model Divo have created phenomenal cornering. Distance along the Nardo route in Italy, the Bugatti marvel is a full 8.0 seconds faster than the normal Chiron and 3.0 seconds faster than the Chiron Sports. However, on a straight road the coupé divo has no chance to compete with the Bugatti Chiron, top speed is limited to around 380 mph (Bugatti Chiron and Chiron Bugatti sport can reach 420 km/h). So the new Bugatti Divo hypercar is the perfect vehicle for closed circuits and winding roads.

To understand the technical aspects of innovations, I want to note the elegant appearance of the car. In general, the Divo is similar to the Bugatti Bugatti Chiron, but… the new Bugatti model is dressed in the original suit, painted in the main color Titanium Liquid Silver, complemented by Divo's carbon-tone carbon fiber parts and bright turquoise Divo Race Blue inserts. It is also worth noting that the new Bugatti model has all the original hull front and rear as well as optimized aerodynamics.

Narrow LED headlights (only 35 mm high), huge brackets, LED daytime running lights accentuate the lower head optics and soaring air ducts on the front fenders, hood, front bumper air duct pointed air intake mouth and splitter, obscenely swollen wheel arches, majestic anti wing, a monumental rear bumper with a diffuser and gorgeous LED taillights (each envelope is a perfectly stylish 44 pattern formed from lightweight 3D printed elements). Even on the roof of the car, the NAK-type air intake has been optimized.

However, from the side of the body, the Bugatti Divo betrays its origin. Details such as the roof pillars and glass, as well as the contours of the doorways, are the same body parts of the Bugatti Chiron.

It's a shame, but the creators decided not to develop the original interior to a marvel, equipping new facilities from their brother's platform (the design and equipment are identical). There are only special and, of course, more exclusive fabrics, embroidered inscription marvel on the soft side of the central tunnel and seats, headrest, original pattern on the door cards and seats, as well as a transparent cover, a characteristic color scheme (combination of black and bright turquoise colors).

It only remains to add that all 40 copies of the new Bugatti Super Divo hypercar were purchased long before the premiere. The price of each is 5 million euros, which is 2 times more expensive than the Bugatti Chiron.
