Senova D50 2018 – a new sedan for China

The new Chinese budget car 2018-2019 presents the new Senova D50 sedan. The public and official premiere of the new four-door Senova D 50 (D50) sedan – this company from the engine was held in 2017 as part of the Shanghai Motor Show. And now, six months later, the novelty has reached Chinese medicine. In our review of the Senova D50 2018-2019 – photos, price, equipment and technical specifications, a budget Chinese sedan, is positioned as a car with a sculptural, light body exterior design, a stylish and comfortable interior and rich equipment.

Sales of Senova D 50 2018 will begin in China in November this year at a price of 74800-99800 yuan (at the current rate of 660-880 thousand conventional units) of gasoline engines – atmospheric 1.5-liter 116-horsepower in the company with 5 manual transmissions or available in as an option CVT and 1.5 turbo with 150 impact strength and 6 manual transmission.

The new Senova D50 sedan is being moved by the Chinese manufacturer as an absolute novelty, but in fact we are facing a deeply modernized model of the previous generation offered to China in the spring of 2014. Despite the presence of the new M-Trix 2.0 platform (the M-Trix bogie has been updated and improved to meet modern requirements, Saab has it from Chinese), stylish body design, modern interior with modern equipment, the sedan will still be equipped with a naturally aspirated engine and semi-finished products, archaic rear suspension with torsion beam.

On the other hand, most Chinese car enthusiasts prefer to buy a technically simple car in order not to overpay for new technologies and expensive maintenance. More important criteria when choosing a car are attractive appearance and a rich set of options. Thus, the new Senova D50 sedan is fully consistent with the preferences of the Chinese market: the appearance is super, there are more than enough options.

The body exterior of the new D50 sedan from the Senova brand easily managed to attract many potential buyers to the new product. In general, harmonious body proportions with elegant lines and bright sporty inserts (mirrors on legs, a front spoiler with a tailgate stamping, a strong rear bumper of the original shape of the marker lights with partial LED content) are most designers of the sedan's steerable front end.

The front of the car is exposed to a huge false radiator grille with horizontal slats and a chrome-plated frame in a rich robe, inscribed in the composition, narrowed headlights, a neat bumper with stylish sections of LED daytime running lights and fog lights. The car looks very solid, one might say noble, for a budget model.

• The external dimensions of the body of the Senova D50 2018-2019 are 4630 mm long, 1820 mm wide and 1480 mm high with a wheelbase of 2670 mm and 125 mm ground clearance.
• The standard new sedan comes with 15-inch steel wheels with 195/65 R15 tires, for more expensive trim levels, 16-inch alloy wheels with 205/55R16 tires are offered.

Comparing body dimensions, the new sedan model and the previous generation understand that the novelty is clearly larger: the increase in length is 48 mm, and the maximum width is 26 mm, the distance between the axles has increased to 20 mm and only the body height has decreased by 6 mm.

The interior design of the new Chinese budget Senova D 50 sedan to match the exterior design of the novelty, such as stylish light sporty accents. The architecture of the front panel and center console, as well as the presence of modern equipment, can cause envy even among owners of more expensive cars.

The photo shows a sedan in one of the most saturated models (it looks more modest in the basic interior) combined seat trim (leather and fabric), multifunctional steering wheel, original design, modern instrument panel with a large on-board computer screen, multimedia system with an 8-inch color screen (navigation, rear view camera, smart phone friendship), keyless entry system and engine start/stop button, convenient to control the multimedia system and car auxiliary functions.

As an option, a driver's seat with electric adjustments, heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, cameras providing a 360-degree view, an instrument panel with a 7-inch color display, an on-board computer, climate control, a tracking system for objects in the blind zones of mirrors and unauthorized crossing of the marking line, forward collision warning system, electric parking brake.

The five-seat interior of the new Chinese sedan will comfortably seat the driver and front passenger and second-row passengers. There is enough space in all directions, and the luggage compartment can easily take more than 420 liters of cargo. If it is necessary to transport a larger amount of luggage, it can be folded into a separate back row, thereby increasing the cargo characteristics of the luggage compartment by more than 2 times.

Specifications Senova D50 2018-2019. The new sedan is built on a fairly simple, budget platform with independent front suspension (McPherson strut) and Semi rear suspension (torsion beam torsion beam). Electric power steering and disc brakes on all wheels, electronic assistants were added in the face with ABS ESP and bass.
On the hood, the choice of the consumer is offered two gasoline engines with four cylinders.

• Atmospheric 1.5-liter (116 hp 147 Nm) paired with a 5 manual transmission or CVT variator.
• Turbocharged 1.5-liter (150 hp 210 Nm) in tandem with 6 manual transmissions.

Both engines, by the way, are adapted to the consumption of 92nd gasoline.
