The new Skoda-Scala hatchback, built on the modular MQB, V-A0 platform (the junior version of the MQB, in a truck) and is closely related to the European B-class hatchback, the 5th generation Seat Ibiza and the 6th generation Volkswagen Polo.

• The powerful 1.5 TSI four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine (150 hp) works in company with a 6 manual transmission or is available as an option with a 7-speed DSG robotic gearbox with two clutch discs.

The turbo-diesel hatchback Skoda put one stone with four cylinders 1.6 TDI (115 hp) and is equipped with urea neutralization of harmful substances in the exhaust gases. For the engine, it is available as a 6-speed gearbox and a 7-speed DSG “robot”.

The most modest engine for the new Skoda Luke Scala is a 1.0 g-tech engine (90 hp) that consumes natural gas.

The gas version of the novelty is the most environmentally friendly and economical, and it only comes with a 6-speed manual transmission.

• The external dimensions of the body of the Skoda Skala in 2018-2019 are 4362 mm long, 1793 mm wide, 1471 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2649 mm and allow us to call the new Skoda a full car of the European class C +.

For comparison, the body dimensions of the current generation Volkswagen Golf, which recently returned to the Russian market: length 4258 mm, width 1790 mm, height 1492 mm, wheelbase 2620 mm.

While the Skoda Skala is much larger, the Skoda fast Spaceback retired with its 4304mm long, 1706mm wide, 1461mm high and 2602mm wheelbase.

Representatives of Skoda Auto and automotive journalists who took part in the test drive of the pre-production version of the Skoda Skala assure that the interior of the new model of the Czech company is as spacious as the large Skoda Octavia.
