Volvo V60 for 2019 – Volvo V90 wagon’s little brother
The new Volvo wagon in the V60 (V60 Volvo) was officially unveiled on February 21, 2018 ahead of the world premiere in Geneva, ahead of the debut of the new generation Volvo S60 sedan. Creating a new generation of the Volvo V60 station wagon on the designers of the Swedish manufacturer was not implemented for two, but three birds with one stone.

In the end, we have a kind of symbiosis of the Volvo V90 in the Volvo XC60 and something new. But to be honest, the new car's V60 looks like the V90's little brother. There is a stylish and striking front end of the vehicle, finished with Thor's signature headlights, a compact grille with a large Volvo logo and a bumper with a pronounced lip.
Side type five-door body model looks organic and dynamic. In the presence of a long hood, huge wheel arch cutouts, doors with a high window sill, a compact and powerful relief, almost flat roofs, a solid stern with rear fenders, complemented by a magnificent blow.
The back of the station wagon received large, wide taillights with LED content, a right-hand rectangle rear door with compact glass, crowned by a spoiler and a massive bumper with bright aerodynamic elements.
I would like to add on my own that the new Volvo V60 wagon on, as well as other modern models from the Swedish manufacturer, looks expensive and chic. This new product clearly demonstrates the commitment to the corporate style of the brand.

Compared to its predecessor, the 1st generation V60 van of the new 2nd generation models has added 126mm in length and the wheelbase has increased to 96mm. a solid increase to the total overall length and distance between the axles will significantly increase not only the interior, but also the trunk. With the standard position of the rear seat, the trunk is able to take 529 liters (For reference, the predecessor is 430 liters, the Volvo XC60 crossover is 505 liters, the older brother of the Volvo V90 is 560 liters), the folding second row of seats, the useful volume of the luggage compartment increases to 1364 liters (for station wagon Volvo V90 – 1526 liters, and crossover Volvo XC60 – 1432 liters). The interior of the new Volvo V60 van came out of the Volvo XC60 crossover with all the brand trappings of contemporary Volvo models. Digital dashboard, stylish steering wheel, massive front panel and center console, wide tunnel between the front seats with comfortable armrests, advanced multimedia with a 9.5-inch screen (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Wi-Fi, Volvo on call app), climate -control Eta, which provides different temperatures in 4 zones of the cabin, very comfortable driver and front passenger seats with a full range of functions (electric, heated, ventilated, massage), heated and ventilated rear seats, a huge panoramic sunroof equipped with electric drive, high quality materials and, of course, a wide range of electronic security systems and assistants.
The new wagon can move semi-automatically on the track (pilot assist) taking into account the lay-out, turns and other vehicles on the road to slow down and speed up, and the City Safety System to ensure safe traffic in urban environments and, if necessary, automatically stop the car when a pedestrian is detected, animals or cyclists on the road in front of the car, will show the presence of obstacles when reversing and roundabouts (looks at the intersection).

SPA platforms underlying the new (transverse engine, fully independent suspension of all wheels, compound springs in the rear suspension) introduced the new “shestidesyati” optional air suspension (standard spring), powerful and economical turbo petrol and turbocharged diesel engines (drive family), as well as two hybrid power plants.

Battery capacity 10.4 kWh can be charged from the mains, transmission 8-speed automatic.
V60 powered by two T8 Volvo AWD engines with a more powerful petrol 2.0-liter 310-horsepower engine that is responsible for front-wheel drive and a 117-horsepower electric motor that powers the rear (total power 390 hp 640 Nm). The 10.4 kW battery is located in the central tunnel, the gearbox is 8 automatic transmission.
