Ferrari Portofino 2018 – New in the Ferrari stable

The new Ferrari Portofino is the most affordable car in the Italian company's production line to date and, by and large, we have to admit that we have a more modern, improved and modernized version of the Ferrari California (more precisely, the Ferrari California T, which debuted in 2014).
The main sports cars, of course, in the engine and under the hood of the new Ferrari Portofino, a 3.9-liter V8 biturbo (model F154 flat crankshaft) is installed, inherited by the New California T. Italian motorists, of course, improved engine performance by changing the control program, equipping the engine with a connecting rod -piston group with the best performance, in parallel, by changing the geometry of the exhaust tract to reduce the effect of turbo lag.
- After all, the 3.9 petrol twin-turbo V8 produces the coveted 600 horsepower and 760 Nm of maximum torque over a wide range of engine speeds from 3000 to 5600 (the California engine boasts only 560 horsepower and 755 Nm of torque). The dynamics of acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is only 3.5 seconds, the maximum speed is 320 km / h.
Also in the technical stuffing of the new coupe-cabriolet from Maranello, the E-Diff3 rear differential (3rd generation unit), shock absorbers filled with magnetorheological fluid, and electric power steering provide a sharper response to the steering wheel rotation (wheels are 7% sharper, than Ferrari California). The box remained the same 7-speed automatic with push-button control on the central tunnel (you can change gears using a convenient label on the steering wheel).

The manufacturer does not provide exact data on the curb weight of the car and the torsional rigidity of the body, but at the same time assures that the new product is lighter than the Ferrari California and has a more rigid body due to the use of modern technologies and components used in the manufacture of the body and chassis.
The exterior design of the body of the new Italian sports car was developed by the specialists of the Ferrari Design Center. The coupe-cabriolet will not only get a modern look in the style of the Ferrari and Ferrari GTC4 Lusso 812 superfast, but a fastback body with a rigid hardtop designed and manufactured by Webasto. The new one looks perfect, both with the roof up (two-door coupe) and off the roof (stylish convertible).

The rear of the body affects the size of the exhaust pipe, stylish LED eye marker headlights, a powerful bumper with a huge diffuser and downright majestic trunk.
The interior of the new Ferrari Portofino with a 2 + 2 seating formula, but according to the manufacturer, the rear seats of the new items are noticeably freer and more comfortable than the second row of the Ferrari California due to the thinner front seats. Raise a meager, but for the inhabitants of the back row, even a couple of extra centimeters of a gift.
The architecture of the front panel and center console, the location of controls, the multimedia complex and other equipment in the interior of the new coupe-cabriolet is made in the corporate style of Ferrari models. Available sports steering wheel with lower rim trim, highly informative instrument panel (combination of analog tachometer with two digital displays on the sides), modern multimedia system with 10.2-inch color touch screen, additional display on the front panel for the passenger, improved air conditioning system with high performance and a new control unit, new sport seats for driver and front passenger with excellent lateral support and 18-way electric adjustment.
Only high-quality materials were used for decoration (genuine leather, nappa leather, artificial velor, Alcantara, brushed aluminum and carbon).
