By the way, a 6-speed gearbox is available as standard equipment only for the initial 130-horsepower diesel (an 8-speed automatic transmission for this engine is offered for an extra charge). Interestingly, the new 8-speed automatic transmission allows overflow in the speed range from 25 to 130 km / h, thus providing an average fuel saving of 3%.

Diesel Peugeot 508 SW in 2018-2019 with a four-cylinder turbodiesel:

• 1.5 HDI (130 HP, 300 Nm),
• Hdi 2.0 (160 hp 400 Nm),
• Hdi 2.0 (180 hp 400 Nm).

Diesel Peugeot 508 SW in 2018-2019 are equipped with four-cylinder turbocharged engines:

• 1.6 TNR (180 hp 250 Nm),
• 1.6 TNR (225 hp, 300 Nm).

The external dimensions of the Peugeot 508 SW body in 2018-2019:

• 4778 mm Length, mm 1859 (2079 mm subject to external rear-view mirrors) in width, 1420 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2793 mm.
• Front wheel track – 1601 mm rear wheels – 1597 mm.
• The length of the front overhang is 948 mm, the length of the rear overhang is 1037 mm, the loading height of the RMO luggage compartment is 635 mm.

It should be noted that the Peugeot 508 SV station wagon of the new generation was smaller than the body of its predecessor of the first generation of the model, 35 mm in length, and the size of the wheelbase was reduced by 24 mm and 67 mm in height, while the width of the body, on the contrary, increased by 6 mm.

The stylish and original exterior design of the Peugeot 508 SW as a whole repeats the appearance of the interior, the Peugeot 508. But the passenger-and-freight version of the 508 model with the letters UV seems to be more temperamental and bright thanks to the finely traced roof lines, gently falling on the chic Stern indicated LED parking lights. From the outside, the new Peugeot station wagon looks like a four-door sports coupe. In short, the smart car is clearly not lost against the background of the main competitors from the Audi A4 Avant, the Mercedes-Benz C-class station wagon, the Volkswagen Passat variant.
The interior of the Peugeot 508 SW station wagon is an exact copy of the interior of the platform of the Peugeot 508 brother (both cars are aimed at the premium class) and picked up:

• virtual dashboard (color 12.3 inch screen)
• advanced multimedia system (central display diagonal, 8.0 or 10.0 inches),
• sports multifunction steering wheel with a thick rim, focal audio system with 10 speakers,
• soft seats for the driver and front passenger with elektropriveda adjustment, heating, ventilation and massage,
• head-up display and futuristic automatic transmission control joystick.

A fully packaged version of the new generation of the Peugeot 508 SV station wagon will delight owners with all-LED optics, adaptive cruise control, automatic braking of the system for tracking objects in the blind areas of mirrors and keeping the car in the lane, the system recognizes traffic signs and monitors the driver's condition, night vision camera, high quality materials (genuine Nappa leather, Alcantara faux suede, wood and aluminium).

However, in the back of the cab and, of course, the station wagon trunk is much more practical than the brother liftback platform. A separate rear end tilt (27 degrees) provides an extra 40mm of headroom for passengers at maximum tilt. The rear row backrests fold down with a dedicated button located in the trunk, providing an increased boot capacity with a standard cost of 530 liters up to a maximum of 1,730 liters.

The station wagon's tailgate opening is 24mm wider and the trunk loading height is less than 60mm compared to its liftback sibling, but just a 5-door hatchback. To secure the load, large hooks and rails for attaching luggage nets are provided. Optional electric tailgate with contactless kick-open function under the bumper.

The new generation of Peugeot 508 station wagon shortwave stations in the European market, according to the marketing dog, has been successful. The French hope to sell more wagons than the liftback.
