The 2019 Mitsubishi Tourer Engelberg concept is the harbinger of a new generation of Mitsubishi Outlander

The body exterior of the Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer concept demonstrates the signature features of the serial DNA of the brand's latest innovations and, of course, does not cause a surprise. I am looking for a new show car from Mitsubishi to recall the xm concept introduced in 2016, as the serial Mitsubishi Xpander crossover minivan, upgraded Mitsubishi L200 pickup, Mitsubishi Delica D5 turned and Mitsubishi ASX.
So the Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer concept flaunts a strong front end with multi-level light and a massive bumper, stylish and harmonious body sides with huge round wheel arches and a powerful punch, and a bright stern adorned with conical, pointed LED marker lights.
Of the features of the show car, I want to note the roof, integrated rear panniers with additional lighting elements, touch-sensitive door handles, a rear-view camera instead of traditional mirrors on the rear concept.
The cabin has three rows of seats with separate seats for each passenger and driver, a virtual instrument panel, a large color touch screen multimedia system, a touch-sensitive climate control unit, a control unit and auxiliary functions of the car, LED backlighting, materials and finishes of the highest quality (genuine and artificial leather, polished aluminium).
The Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer Concept is a hybrid vehicle that can be recharged from a wall outlet (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles). The hybrid power plant of the show car with a 2.4-liter atmospheric gasoline engine operates on the Atkinson cycle, and two electric motors are installed one on each axle, as in the technology of the updated Mitsubishi Outlander crossover in the current car market.
The specifics of Mitsubishi Engelberg's hybrid car concept were not disclosed, but representatives of the Japanese company claim that the concept is capable of covering up to 70 km in fully electric mode (according to WLTM cycle measurements). A full mileage with a fully charged battery and a full tank is about 700 km.
