The new model Lincoln crossover Lincoln Corsair (Lincoln Corsair) marked the official premiere at the New York International Auto Show on April 17, 2019. The new Lincoln Corsair hides under the stylish new body of the “truck” C2 platform (fully independent active suspension is constantly controlled damping, an isolated rear subframe and special springs) and is in direct relationship with the Ford Escape crossover (Ford Kuga) and the new generation Ford Focus 4 generation. Unlike its brothers Ford's blue oval crossover platform offered at fairly affordable prices, the new Lincoln is positioned as a luxury compact SUV. By the way, Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair will be produced at the same plant – the Louisville Assembly Plant (Kentucky, USA).

The new model of the brand Lincoln received from the creators of the original name, which hides the Latin word “cursus” (travel). So, we have a compact B-class crossover designed to travel with the greatest possible comfort.
Crossover Lincoln Corsair looks attractive, stylish, modern and expensive. The novelty in almost all parts of the body hints at kinship with the large crossovers Nautilus Lincoln and Lincoln Aviator, as well as with the huge Lincoln Navigator SUV.

The Lincoln Corsair is the entry-level model in the American brand's crossover line, and the novelty will compete with the Acura RDX, Lexus, Merceds GLC and Volvo XC60. Just to say that in the arsenal of a compact crossover there is a lot of modern equipment and technology at the highest level.

At the New York Lincoln Auto Show, the novelty has so far been presented only with four-cylinder engines, the EcoBoost gasoline turbo engine, but by the end of the year there will be a hybrid version of the novelty.
The prime mover is a 2.0-liter EcoBoost (250 hp and 373 Nm) for the company's 8 with automatic transmission.
A more powerful 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine (280 hp 420 Nm) paired with 8 automatic transmissions.
The default is front-wheel drive, but as an option both engines are equipped with an all-wheel drive system, Lincoln's intelligent all-wheel-drive system.
