Lincoln Nautilus 2018 – updated and changed the name of Lincoln TKH
New crossovers 2018-2019 model year Lincoln “Nautilus”, which debuted in early December 2017 at the Los Angeles Auto Show and is preparing to enter the US market in the summer of 2018. Lincoln's “Nautilus” crossover plans to sell in North America (USA and Canada) and China, where the model will compete with such midsize SUV class giants as the Acura RDX, Audi Q5, BMW X3, Cadillac XT5 interior, Lexus RX, Mercedes GLC and Volvo XC60. The price of the new crossover Lincoln Nautilus will be at least $ 40,000 for the base version with a gasoline 2.0-liter turbocharged engine (2.0 ecoboost).
The predecessor of the new Lincoln Nautilus crossover with the boring name MKX in the US market “there are not enough stars from the sky.” In 2016, just 30,967 American car enthusiasts chose this model, and by the end of 2017, only 25,436 cars were sold from January to October. The super popular Lexus RX is sold many times better: in 2016 there were about 110 thousand Japanese crossovers. So it's hoped that an update, a facelift and a new buzzy name will help spur buyers' interest in the Lincoln TKH's successor.
Having survived the name change from the boring TKH loudly Nautilus with their subsequent modernization of the American crossover brand Lincoln has a very bright appearance, the interior has been reformatted and updated technical stuffing. At the rear, the crossover is traditionally designed for models of Ford's luxury division of the Lincoln brand with excellent LED chandelier lighting gap, stretching across the entire width of the body, neat tailgate with compact glass topped with a spoiler and a powerful bumper, complemented by LED reflective tape and huge trapezoid exhaust tips.
- The external body dimensions of the Lincoln Nautilus 2018-2019 are 4825 mm long, 1999 mm (including mirrors 2187 mm) wide and 1682 mm high, with a 2850 mm wheelbase.
- For the crossover, 18-21 inch alloy wheels with a new design pattern are offered.
The five-seat interior of the new Lincoln Nautilus may look a little simple, but the architecture of the front fascia and center console is very neat and attractive, as well as the presence of modern equipment and high-quality finishing materials, which suggests that we are facing a premium car.
The interior of the Nautilus is largely similar to that of the TKH model, retired, but significantly modernized and improved. There is a new three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, a customizable digital instrument panel with a 12.3-inch display, an advanced SYNC 3 multimedia system (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), with the ability to connect Lincoln apps in a way (using a smartphone, the owner can open and lock doors, start and turn off the engine, check the car settings).
In addition to the equipment listed above, the American crossover will delight owners with excellent front-row seats ultra comfort with 22 comfort personalizations (electric, heated, ventilated and massage), Revel audio with 13 or 19 speakers, adaptive cruise control, passive car safety system in lane with emergency swerve function (electronics helps the driver to turn the steering wheel quickly and in the right direction), interior in leather or Alcantara/leather.

As mentioned above, the Nautilus crossover, like its predecessor, the TKH, is built on the Ford Edge platform. So, armed with an architecture of fully independent front and rear suspension, disc brakes in a circle, electric power steering, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
Under the hood of an American two-gasoline EcoBoost engine with:
- The first four-cylinder EcoBoost engine is 2.0 (248 hp and 366 Nm) mated to 8 automatic transmissions.
- More powerful 2.7 EcoBoost with V6 engine (340 hp, 515 Nm) in Company 8 with automatic transmission.
It only remains to add that a new 2.0 EcoBoost engine has replaced the old naturally aspirated 3.7 ti-VCT V6 engine (Tot 307,377 Nm) put on top of the Lincoln MKX version and a new 8-speed automatic transmission has been replaced by a 6 SelectShift automatic transmission.
