Mazda CX-3 2019 – restyled improved Mazda CX-3

The Japanese subcompact crossover Mazda CX-3 survived a planned restyling and reached Europe in an updated form. In our review of the Mazda CX-3 2019-2020 – photos and videos, new prices and specifications, specifications of the new Mazda CX-3 SUV model, with a slightly retouched exterior, updated interior, advanced security systems and, perhaps most importantly, a new turbodiesel Skyactiv, V-D 1.8 and the upgraded petrol engine Skyactiv-G and 2.0 (engines fit into the new European emission standards Euro-6d-temp). The start of sales of the Mazda CX3 2019-2020 in the European market is scheduled immediately after the public premiere of the novelty at the Paris Motor Show in October 2017 at a price of 18,000 euros. Unfortunately, the Mazda CX-3 compact crossover is unlikely to appear recently.

I want to note that the Mazda CX-3 crossover was first updated for the North American market (debut show in March 2018 in New York), then in May it introduced the SUV version in Japan, and now, only in the fall, the developed European version of the car.

It so happened that we decided to tell you about the European version of the updated Mazda CX-3 with caution for several reasons:

• firstly, there is still hope that Mazda's compact crossover will enter the Russian market in a European version (turbo diesel and gasoline engine);
• secondly, the European market is a priority for the Mazda CX-3 (for 2017, 53871 copies were sold in Europe, and in America, only 16355 cars);
• thirdly, the car is really worth paying attention to it.

Facelift, minimally changed the exterior and interior of the Mazda CX-3 2019 model year (the 2016 update can be ignored when the model had only the r-vectorization control (KTG) system). The new body of the compact crossover flaunts an innovative 4-beam grille, chrome strips along the outer edges of the front bumper (only in rich configurations) and upgraded headlights with a different LED pattern.

In the interior of the updated crossover, the classic handbrake handles went up to the electric handbrake button. This decision made it possible to radically change the design of the central tunnel, the cup holders move forward, and to equip the car with an armrest between the front seats. The front seats are wider and more stuffed, using the same polyurethane as in the seats of the large Mazda CX-8 crossover. There is also a color fringing ventilation gills (red soul crystal) and are not visible to the eye, thicker door panels and rear windows with increased thickness, which provides better sound insulation of the cabin.

In addition to the above details, the updated Japanese compact crossover Mazda CX-3 will please potential owners with an improved cruise control with Stop & GO function (in combination with a front camera and works at speeds from 0 km / h), an upgraded automatic braking system, better see pedestrians and an auto-dimming interior mirror.

• The initial engine Skyactiv-G with 2.0 (121 hp 206 Nm) is offered for a front-wheel drive crossover.
• More powerful Skyactiv-r 2.0 (150 hp 206 Nm) for vehicles with all-wheel drive transmission.

Under the hood of the updated crossover also has a new four-cylinder Skyactiv turbodiesel V-D 1.8 (115 hp, 270 Nm), which replaced itself with a Skyactiv-D 1.5 diesel engine (105 hp 270 Nm). Diesel crossover Mazda CX-3 can be front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
The choice for all engines is the transmission of a pair of 6 manual transmissions or 6 automatic transmissions.
