The Changan CS75 crossover switched to a new second generation in 2019, having received the Plus prefix in the name, because the predecessor, as is often the case in China, remained in service (“the first” SUV has been produced since 2014, has been repeatedly updated). And now Plus survived the restyling, and interestingly, Changan himself considers such an SUV a new generation, also the second, but already relative to the CS75 Plus. The design was unveiled at the end of last year, but now preliminary prices have been announced in the brand's homeland, and orders are open. Local media specify that “live” sales will begin in February.

The Plus has new optics: instead of a thin LED strip, a wide light plate now adjoins the headlights, and a diode strip has also appeared between the lamps. The crossover also received other bumpers and a radiator grille, while, like its predecessor, the grille has two design options: with “scales” or with a V-shaped pattern. For an extra charge, you can order a gold trim. The length is now the same for all versions: 4700 mm (the base of the pre-reform CS75 Plus is 10 mm shorter). Width, height and wheelbase have not changed: 1865, 1710 and 2710 mm, respectively.

In the cabin – a new front panel, steering wheel and gear selector, the central tunnel was made two-tiered. CS75 Plus retained the scoreboard, that is, it combined the virtual “tidy” and the touch screen of the multimedia system, but it is in a new case without a viewfinder. Finishing materials have also become different. The list of equipment was replenished with a projection screen. The model is also equipped with adaptive cruise control, panoramic cameras, automatic braking system, panoramic sunroof and parking function.

The SUV is still offered with a choice of two petrol “turbo-fours” but they have been updated. According to local specialized media, the junior 1.5 turbo engine now bears the JL473ZQ7 index (the cross had a JL476ZQCF engine before the reform), produces 188 hp and 300 Nm (it was 178 hp and 265 Nm). The power of the JL486ZQ5 2.0T engine is 233 hp and 390 Nm (the previous two-liter JL486ZQ4 has the same power, but 360 Nm of torque). All versions of the “second” Plus have an eight-speed “automatic” Aisin, and the previous crossover with 1.5T is equipped with 6 automatic transmissions. The block is still only in front.
