Chang’an CS75 plus 2019 – a new Chinese sports crossover
The new Chinese crossover Changan CS75 plus, illuminated in the spring of 2019, at the Shanghai Motor Show, will enter mass production in the Chinese market in early autumn. Changan Automotive’s new Changan CS75 SUV Plus relies on the Changan CS85 coupe crossover technique and is positioned as a sporty crossover that looks, elegant interior and polished handling. In the model line, the car will be between the updated Changan CS75 crossover and the Changan CS85 crossover coupe. The price of a new kind of cross-country sport in the Chinese market in the initial configuration is from 130,000 yuan (about 1,195,000 standard units).
I would like to note that the new Changan CS75 CS75 plus crossover is not updated, but a completely original model. In this case, both crossovers will be sold in China in parallel – plus the regular CS75, which survived the update in the spring of 2019. But recently it has been sold as a pre-reform Chang’an CS75 2014. By the way, the new Chang’an CS75 plus is presented in two versions. Normal – in the main photo on the left, and with the original filtration mesh lining, the letters S and bright red details around the entire perimeter of the body – in the photo on the right. Regardless of the incarnation, outwardly the car looks amazingly stylish, charismatic and bright.
The front part of the body with large road LED headlights, LEDs interconnected by a jumper, a powerful bumper with pronounced air intakes, and a radiator grille clearly borrowed from the Japanese company Lexus, but in its own interpretation of the classic round foglights and a bright aerodynamic body kit.
The body part showcases the original’s dynamic profile aided by hinged panels, round wheel arches filled in with large 18-19 inch wheels, and a roof with a floating pillar.
Harmonious power from the trunk topped with a spoiler, pointed LED marker lights and a massive bumper with diffuser and four tailpipe nozzles.
External dimensions of the body will be 4700 mm long, 1865 mm wide, 1700 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,710 mm.
Depending on the level of equipment, the crossover is offered for 18 or 19-inch alloy wheels with tires size 225/60 R18 and 225/50 R19 convenience.
The interior of the new crossover is literally revolutionary, and, frankly, impressive at first sight. The original architecture of the front panel, center console and tunnel add-ons, stylish door cards, sports seats are integrated into the rear head restraints for the driver and front passenger, we are waiting back with an enviable supply of space in all directions, and all this is flavored with high quality materials (leather, covered almost all interior details, except for the roof) and a fantastic set of modern equipment.
Ready to bend your fingers and gasp? Well, then I went. Multi-function steering wheel with under rim trim, virtual adjustable (three versions of image shown) 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 12.3-inch advanced multimedia system, touch-sensitive climate control unit, electric front-row sport seats driven, heating and ventilation, touch-sensitive buttons, responsible for activating additional equipment, panoramic glass roof with a size of 1120 mm, 700 mm, with leather trim.
As electronic assistants and assistants, adaptive cruise control, all-round visibility system, front and rear parking sensors, automatic braking function with pedestrian recognition, parking assistant, lane control system.
The luggage compartment is quite roomy and can take about 700 liters with the standard position of the rear seats. Barrel length 980-1950 mm, width 1075-1400 mm, height 770 mm.
