Changing generation model, QX50 has changed dramatically and is multifaceted. The new Infiniti QX50 not only looked like a full-fledged mid-size crossover from the outside (the first generation of the model looks more like a five-door hatchback with increased ground clearance), but got a more comfortable interior with rich trim and a lot of modern equipment and moved to a modern front-wheel drive platform (the shortened “trolley" got new large crossovers Nissan Murano and Nissan Pathfinder) with the latest transverse gasoline engine 2.0 VK-Turbo, variable load, compression ratio and combined fuel injection. With a 2.0-liter engine, Japanese engineers managed to pull off 272 horsepower and 380 Nm of maximum torque. Today it is the best engine in the world with a 2.0-liter displacement.
The new platform has completely changed the body proportions of the 2nd generation QX50. Compared to its predecessor, the novelty turned out to be less than the length of 51 mm, but significantly, as much as 102 mm, increased in width and was 64 mm higher, the size of the wheelbase was reduced to 80 mm.

The bright and stylish appearance of the element is provided by charismatic ribs on the hood and side, greedily narrowed headlights with LED filling, branded radiator grille, front bumper with aerodynamic elements, rear pillar broken roof, huge wheel arch cutouts, grandiose feed with magnificent, LED side lights and majestic bumper, combined with trapezoidal exhaust tips.
The interior of the second generation Infiniti QX50 is frankly luxurious and stylish. Interior decoration made of leather reigns in various varieties and textures. Seats, door cards, armrests, central tunnel, upper part of the front panel, steering wheel and gear knob in leather. Model multifunctional steering wheel with three spokes, instrument panel with analog scales of the tachometer and speedometer, between which there is a large color display, on-board computer, center console a pair of color touch screens (the upper 8-inch answers navigation and auto settings, the lower 7-inch serves as a block control of the multimedia system and climate control) on the magnificent center console there is an engine start / stop button, an automatic transmission control selector, a washer, which allows you to go to the multimedia menu without taking your hands off the armrest.

Most importantly, juicy and interesting elements of the technical stuffing of the crossover. The suspension is fully independent with McPherson struts at the front and multi-link architecture at the rear, adaptive dampers, all-wheel disc brakes with front and rear ventilated discs.
Standard drive is front-wheel drive with an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch that connects the rear wheels for a fee.
The steering wheel is not mechanically connected to the wheels, and the wheel rotation signals are transmitted via wires – super advanced direct adaptive steering steering. This feature is complemented by the ability to adjust the force on the steering wheel (there are 4 modes, standard, Eco, Sport and personal). It is a pity that such progressive steering is offered in the list of options, and in the base there is a conventional electric power steering with an electric motor mounted on the steering rack.
And so at the end of the review, we came to a unique gasoline four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbo VK-Turbo engine capable of working in two cycles – Otto and Atkinson to change the compression ratio from 14:1 at low loads to 8:1 at high loads and even change the displacement of 1997 cm3 (maximum compression) to 1970 cm3 (minimum compression).
